Summary:

Skilled and detail-oriented Cost Control Analyst is responsible for overseeing cost planning and compliance for projects on Client Contract and PMO levels. Closely monitors financial integrity and efficiency of projects costs and cashflows. Responsible to deliver executive reports. This role requires a proactive professional who excels in financial planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting to ensure successful and profitable delivery of digital transformation projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement cost control procedures.
  2. Develop detailed project budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  3. Organize, monitor, and control project expenditures and cashflows, identify cost variances, and provide timely reports to project managers and senior leadership. Log information in SAP ERP.
  4. Generate invoices and review jointly with project managers.
  5. Analyze financial data using statistical tools/software to identify trends, risks, variance analyses, and opportunities for increased profitability.
  6. Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, client contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  7. Proactively initiate appropriate action when total forecast indicates allocated funds will be exceeded.
  8. Review, analyze, and estimate cost for variation orders on subcontractor and client levels.
  9. Assist in the preparation of project proposals, including budgetary estimates and feasibility assessments for new initiatives.

Role Requirements:

  1. Academic: BSc in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Experience: 5 Years+ relevant and proven experience handling similar responsibilities. Has worked before for (not necessarily with) key client(s) such as Aramco, SABIC, etc. Understands contract invoicing procedures.
  3. Financial / Project Accounting: Understands accounting statements. Able to construct project cashflows (ETC, EAC, BAC, BTC, etc.).
  4. Cost Estimation: Able to develop cost estimates with varying accuracy utilizing standard estimation approaches.
  5. Financial Analysis & Modeling Tools: Strong proficiency in tools and software such as Excel, SAP ERP (esp. FICO), etc.
  6. Project Management: Has worked before in projects. Understands different phases and milestones.
  7. Analytical Skills: Analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail. Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  8. Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal communications. Ability to work with teams. Ability to develop reports/presentations for different stakeholders.

Preferences:

  1. Relevant certifications (e.g. CMA, CIMA, CPA, etc.)
  2. Project management certifications (PMP or similar)
  3. Master's degree is preferred (e.g. MBA or Engineering Management)
