Job Objective
HVAC Multi Technician tasks to do highly skilled maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting work of the building’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and ensuring that it is in perfect working order at all times. Also should have the knowledge and experience towards providing better service to customers in the field of MEP Technician and responsible for the operation and maintenance of all types of equipment.Key Responsibilities
- Inspect HVAC Systems and their components (e.g. heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs and recommend preventive maintenance.
- Carry out basic plumbing & electrical tasks in addition to the day-to-day HVAC tasks.
- Adept at balancing air and water treatment systems in accordance with the HVAC protocols.
- Exceptional knowledge in providing Line Manager the required design and implementation of HVAC systems as required.
- Good understanding of the local building codes and other authority regulations.
- Read and understand complex blueprints such as piping, sketches, schematics, wiring and HVAC diagrams. Ability to interpret shop drawings and control schematics.
- Well-versed in installing and repairing pumps, motors, fan coils and piping. Perform brazing, soldering, pipefitting, welding and fabrication as required.
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, routine and preventive maintenance of the building's rooftop units heating and cooling equipment, energy recovery ventilation (ERV), heat recovery ventilation (HRV) and other HVAC System combinations thereof.
- Responsible for start-up and commissioning of building automation systems.
- Perform general maintenance of ventilation equipment (i.e., filter replacement, coil cleaning and drive belt repairs).
- Experience in repairing and maintenance of hot water heating systems and electric heating systems.
- Determine whether a part of a system or the system as a whole can be repaired or replaced.
- Knowledgeable and able to perform preventative and general maintenance tasks on HVAC systems.
- Resolve requests/complaints by clients while maintaining courteous composure and adhering to standard engineering practices. Escalate non-resolving calls immediately to supervisor/Engineers.
- Operate various measuring tools or equipment, diagnostic and testing instruments for MEP & HVAC System.
- Maintain and check proper stock of parts, tools, and safety equipment in the stockroom. Use the company's spare materials carefully and sparingly.
- Ensure that RAKP Health and Safety Policy is being followed and report any potential hazards, issues or incidents that may harm the business, people and/or the brand.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Line Manager or by the Department Head.
Requisite Qualifications
- Secondary School / Diploma or Certificate
- Holder in HVAC System and other similar qualifications.
Experience Requirement
- Minimum 4-6 Years of Experience in HVAC/MEP maintenance as a multi technician.
Skill Sets
- Good understanding of how to use various maintenance equipment (i.e., hand and power tools).
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Ability to analyze the root cause of any fault.
- Excellent understanding of HVAC-related works.
- Ability to fix all issues or faults.
