Business Manager (Industrial Microbiology)

The Business Manager will oversee the business operations for industrial microbiology products within the assigned region, focusing on sales, marketing, and strategic partnerships to achieve revenue and market share objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of industrial microbiology, strong leadership skills, and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders across industries such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and environmental sciences. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement regional strategies to expand market presence and achieve business objectives for industrial microbiology products.
• Design and implement business plans and strategies to guide team to achieve goals
• Lead and manage the regional sales team, setting performance goals, monitoring progress, and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
• Manage all aspects of local sales activities including revenue growth, sales team management, customer relationships and project management
• Recruit, train, and mentor team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for growth in the industrial microbiology sector.
• Develop marketing plans with regional product/marketing teams, including key activities and budgets to support retention of existing customers and acquisition of new customers
• Ensure that all operations comply with relevant industry regulations and standards, collaborating with quality and regulatory teams.
• Develop and manage the regional budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and maximum ROI.
• Provide regular updates on regional performance, market dynamics, and forecasts to senior management.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and technical support, to align regional initiatives with global objectives.

• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in sales and business management within the industrial microbiology or related industries, with at least 3-5 years in a regional leadership role.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in a multi-country region.
• Strong understanding of the industrial microbiology market in Asia-Pacific, including regulatory and industry-specific requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel frequently within the region as required.
