Head of Data and Analytics Operations & Services

PTSB is seeking applications for a newly created senior leadership role, the Head of Data and Analytics Operations & Services. Reporting directly to the Head of Central Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) and as a member of our bank Senior Leadership team, you will be responsible for the ‘Run’ Pillar within the Central Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) with key responsibility for teams and capabilities across Data Governance, Data Operations, Model Management, Platforms, and Regulatory Data provision. This role is responsible for maintaining and sustaining Data Operations, Data Storage Solutions, Enterprise Data Governance and D&A Platforms. You will oversee the day-to-day management and optimisation of the bank’s Data operations, ensuring data quality, availability, and reliability to support business operations, regulatory reporting, and Analytics. You will develop Data Operational, Governance and Platform strategies and establish processes and controls that ensure the scalability, efficiency, and security of the data environment. You will work closely with the wider CDAO senior leadership team across the 3 pillars of “Engage”, “Build” and “Run”. You will work in tandem with the Head of Data & Analytics Transformation who leads the “Build” pillar in delivering modern data architecture and data engineering solutions. You will collaborate with the Head of Business Partnering & Advanced Analytics who leads the “Engage” pillar to support the data and analytics operational needs of the enterprise. For this critical role, you will have an established track record of data-driven culture change and delivery in a leadership role within data operations/data governance, managing and mentoring teams to high performance and in-depth knowledge of the regulatory obligations related to the success of this role. This job is a Controlled Function CF2 as defined by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 Regulations 2011. Any appointment will be conditional on the company being satisfied that the appointee meets the requirements as set out in the Fitness and Probity standards issued by the Central Bank. This requires the company to complete prescribed due diligence to assess the appointee’s fitness and probity. As a CF2 role holder, you will also be subject to the Common Conduct Standards under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Individual Accountability Framework and will be required to take reasonable steps to ensure the Conduct Standards are met. The role holder will be required to possess and maintain the appropriate technical knowledge required to perform the role and to understand the regulatory obligations to which they are subject as a CF, to include, without limitation, the Common Conduct Standards and the Fitness and Probity Standards.
