This position reports to Marketing & Sales Manager Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to represent global divisions in the country to drive sales and market growth. Each day, you will oversee sales and marketing activities and support Sales organizations in driving sales and services for their respective products. You will also showcase your expertise by defining, planning, and ensuring the implementation of product marketing strategies in line with global product strategy. The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite, #LI-hybrid. This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solution Business based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. You will be mainly accountable for:
- Creating, planning, and ensuring implementation of the local go-to-market product marketing strategy, including defining and communicating product value propositions and product positioning in accordance with the global product marketing strategy.
- Focusing on achievement of the target set for metrics like total demand orders (by ABB and third-party), growth margin percentage, net price variance, Net Promoter Score (NPS), inventory turn on finished goods, and on-time delivery as requested.
- Evaluating market opportunities, determining appropriate activities aligned with the overall strategy, and coordinating opportunities across local divisions and local business units, as appropriate.
- Ensuring balanced growth for all product lines, product groups, and business units and creating product demand by promoting technical aspects, providing solutions, and utilizing value-based selling approach.
- Maintaining Salesforce CRM, including workflow, reporting, data integrity, and process improvement. Analyzing sales data and market performance to inform strategic decisions and improve marketing efforts.
- Developing, executing, and monitoring marketing programs across various channels and communications with internal/external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in marketing and engineering, especially in the electrical or power systems industry, preferably with knowledge of Medium Voltage Switchgear design, operations and applications.
- Proven track record in sales and marketing of medium voltage switchgear products and highly innovative around demand generation & product marketing.
- Experience in homologation processes, ensuring products meet regulatory and industry standards.
- Demonstrated leadership and people development/management skills, relevant and successful change management experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to sell ideas creatively and innovatively.
- Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce, demonstrating proficiency in using the dashboard and conducting data analysis.
