SENIOR INVESTMENT EXECUTIVE

Location: Mid Valley KL Reports to: Investment Operations Manager & Chief Investment Officer Department: Investment/Finance Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Investment Executive to oversee the day-to-day operations of the investment team. This role will involve ensuring the smooth execution of investment operations, closely monitoring both new and existing investments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, including SC (Securities Commission) and Bursa Malaysia guidelines. The Senior Investment Executive will be responsible for preparing regular reports, providing updates to the Team Lead, and coordinating the efforts of the investment team. Key Responsibilities:

1. Investment Team Oversight:
   • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the investment team, ensuring efficient coordination and execution of tasks.
   • Provide guidance and support to team members in managing investment portfolios, identifying opportunities, and addressing operational challenges.
   • Ensure team activities align with the broader investment strategy and objectives.
2. Investment Monitoring and Reporting:
   • Track and monitor the performance of both new and existing investments, ensuring that they meet the company's financial and strategic goals.
   • Prepare detailed reports on investment performance, including key metrics, risk analysis, and recommendations for future action.
   • Provide regular updates to the Team Lead, highlighting key developments, potential risks, and areas of opportunity within the investment portfolio.
3. Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
   • Ensure all investment activities comply with Securities Commission (SC) and Bursa Malaysia guidelines and regulations.
   • Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes, ensuring the investment team is well-informed and prepared for any updates or changes in compliance requirements.
   • Work closely with the compliance team to ensure that all necessary documentation and reporting are completed according to legal and regulatory standards.
4. Research and Market Insights:
   • Conduct research and analysis on market trends, financial instruments, and investment opportunities.
   • Provide insights to the team regarding potential risks, market conditions, and emerging investment opportunities.
   • Ensure the team is utilizing up-to-date market intelligence to inform investment decisions and strategy.
5. Strategic Contribution:
   • Collaborate with the Team Lead to develop and refine investment strategies that align with business goals and market conditions.
   • Recommend investment adjustments or portfolio optimizations based on performance analysis and market research.
   • Help shape the overall investment approach and contribute to strategic decision-making at the team and organizational level.
6. Documentation and Report Preparation:
   • Prepare detailed investment reports, presentations, and memos for senior leadership and stakeholders.
   • Ensure all investment documents and reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with internal and regulatory standards.
   • Compile and update investment performance data, presenting this in a clear and concise manner for decision-makers.
7. Team Collaboration and Communication:
   • Foster open communication within the investment team, ensuring the smooth flow of information and updates.
   • Provide timely feedback and updates to the Team Lead on any critical issues or opportunities within the investment portfolio.
   • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., legal, compliance, finance) to ensure alignment on investment processes and policies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree or CFA designation is a plus).
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in investment management or finance, with a proven ability to manage investment operations and teams.
• Strong knowledge of investment products, financial markets, and portfolio management techniques.
• Familiarity with Securities Commission (SC) and Bursa Malaysia guidelines and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Strong understanding of compliance requirements in investment operations.
• Proficiency in investment software and financial tools.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and support a team in a fast-paced environment.

• CFA, FRM, or similar professional certifications.
• Experience working in a regulated financial market, particularly with SC and Bursa Malaysia.
• Knowledge of risk management and regulatory compliance in investment operations.
• Experience in industry-specific investments (e.g., equities, fixed income, alternative investments).
