Corporate Broking Claims - Assistant Manager
Job Title: Corporate Broking (Claims) – Assistant Manager Key Responsibilities:- Registration, Processing and Adjudication of claims within turnaround time.
- Diligently monitor and follow-up on unsettled claims with insurers and/or outstanding information from clients.
- Where needed, interact with stakeholders to ensure proper execution of tasks.
- Ensure claims settlement and reimbursements from insurers are correct and in line with policy coverage.
- Prepare claims statistic report on a monthly basis.
- Proactively identify problems with the team or client and present solutions.
- Participate in project initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity of the department.
- Participate in tender activities and provide claims input.
- Responsible and accountable for efficient managing of claims as well as other classes so that services benchmark are met in line with clients’ standards and expectations.
- Advise clients on how to approach their claims ensuring that client will benefit the most.
- Filter through clients’ claims to ensure that only valid claims are notified to insurers.
- Filter through documents submitted by client to ensure that the documents submitted are relevant to the claim.
- Filter through the documents requested by insurers and adjusters to ensure that only relevant documents to the claims are requested for the ease of the client.
- Appeal and contest within valid reasons decisions made by adjusters and insurers so that the claim will be in favor of the client.
- Influence solicitors and insurers to settle claims amicably to ensure that a matter is not necessarily litigated which would incur more cost to insurers and ultimately increase premiums.
- Keep track and constantly updating claims data in the system and ensure accuracy of data.
- Hold meetings between clients, adjusters, solicitors and insurers to tackle any difficulty surrounding a claim.
- Advise and guide subordinates on their own claims and how to manage both client and insurers’ expectations.
- To comply with BNM guidelines and company procedure on claims processing.
- Use of computer based claims filing to reduce the usage of physical files.
