About the role We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer (Android) to join our dynamic team in Lahore. This is an on-site role where you will take ownership of complex projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and develop Android applications that are scalable, reliable, and deliver delightful user experiences. Your role involves technical leadership, mentoring, and contributions that will shape the future of our Android ecosystem. What You’ll Do
- Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of advanced Android features.
- Architect and build scalable, high-performance, and reliable systems using Kotlin and Java.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to align on requirements and deliver exceptional solutions.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, promoting high coding standards and best practices.
- Identify and resolve complex technical challenges, optimizing application performance.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of professional growth and continuous learning.
- Stay abreast of the latest Android technologies and industry trends, integrating innovations into development processes.
- Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to uphold code quality and reliability.
- Translate business requirements into robust technical designs, emphasizing scalability and maintainability.
- Scope and stage project deliverables into well-defined milestones to ensure timely execution.
- 7+ years of professional Android development experience, with expertise in Kotlin and Java.
- Strong command of Android SDK, Jetpack components, Compose, and handling diverse screen sizes.
- Proven experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
- Solid understanding of scalable application architecture and design principles.
- Hands-on expertise in unit testing frameworks and ensuring application reliability.
- Familiarity with modern Android architectures, such as MVVM.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented and proactive approach.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
- Contributions to open-source projects or published apps on the Google Play Store.
- Knowledge of design principles to create user-friendly interfaces.
- Experience optimizing build processes and deployment pipelines.
- Proven ability to identify and mitigate technical debt before it escalates.
