Strategy Performance and Initiatives Manager

We are seeking to recruit a Manager Strategic Performance and Initiatives for our client, a leading institutional investment group based in Abu Dhabi. Recognized as one of MENA's largest investment entities, our client has a diverse portfolio with subsidiaries across various industries including Technology, Real Estate, Hospitality, and Capital Markets. Job Purpose: The Manager will drive strategy execution through the establishment and management of a Strategic Project Management Office (PMO) function and lead an effective corporate performance management framework. Core Responsibilities: Strategic PMO:
  • Establish and lead the Strategic PMO to oversee the execution of strategic initiatives aligned with the Group's corporate strategy.
  • Manage the cadence of strategy execution through meetings and reporting, providing insights for group strategic planning.
  • Facilitate project execution by supporting decision-making and unblocking communication among all stakeholders.
  • Maintain a central initiative and action tracker, managing assignments, statuses, and follow-ups from strategy sessions and committee meetings.
  • Develop reporting mechanisms, including real-time dashboards to monitor project progress.
  • Identify, assess, escalate, and mitigate risks and issues across the portfolio of strategic initiatives.
  • Standardize PMO processes, methodologies, and templates for consistent project execution.
  • Support organizational change management and facilitate communication to ensure adoption at all levels.
Corporate Performance Management:
  • Own, implement, and continually enhance the business performance management framework.
  • Prepare annual performance scorecards for all business units, including Strategic Initiatives and KPIs.
  • Lead quarterly business performance reviews to track progress, address challenges, and report risks.
  • Oversee the year-end performance review cycle to assess achievements against KPIs.
  • Support the CEO and leadership team in strategic reporting and communication to the Board and external parties.
  • Ensure alignment and cascade of performance scorecards across the Group and its portfolio companies.
  • Collaborate with HR to maintain and manage performance management systems and tools.
  • Monitor key corporate performance metrics, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Ensure integration between corporate strategy execution and performance management to foster organizational success.
Skills/ Core Competencies:
  • Expertise in project and program management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Strong ability to connect initiatives to broader dependencies and programs.
  • Proven leadership and influence skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication abilities to convey complex information effectively.
Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in project/program management.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading a PMO or overseeing strategic initiatives.
  • Proven experience in establishing and managing corporate performance management frameworks, KPIs, and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience in driving strategy execution within a corporate or holding company environment.
