We are looking for a highly professional General Practitioner who will serve as a University Doctor and will provide medical services and management to the American University in the Emirates (AUE) community. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth function of the University Clinic activities in accordance with established medical standards and ethics. Qualifications & Experience

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • A valid DHA Permit/MOH License
  • At least 2 years of experience in an educational institution
Skills / Training / Knowledge
  • Excellent Knowledge of Health care as well as health promotion
  • Good command of computer applications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to work under pressure
  • Strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and attention to detail
  • High degree of independence, responsibility, and judgment
  • Maintains a professional image and relationships with all stakeholders
  • Effectively resolves daily matters independently
Job Responsibilities
  • To provide basic in-house emergency and first aid and regular standard healthcare solutions to students, faculty, and administrative staff and refer patients to specialists or external healthcare providers when required.
  • Act as a key medical responder during on-campus emergencies and providing urgent care on campus, as well as collaborating with emergency services when necessary.
  • Responsible for maintaining high standards with regard to Medical upkeeping and exceptional customer care support to all AUE stakeholders at the American University in the Emirates.
  • Offering medical consultations, diagnosing illnesses, and prescribing treatments for students and staff.
  • Referring patients to specialists when necessary and coordinating with other healthcare providers.
  • Conducting routine health screenings and vaccinations.
  • To provide support to the Health & Safety Team, assisting them with Health & Safety orientation and onboarding for new joiners.
  • Conducting health education sessions and workshops to promote healthy lifestyles and preventive care.
  • Responsible for managing the health & safety reports and providing administrative assistance related to healthcare services on campus.
  • Responsible for keeping track and documenting the employee's clinical insurance policy and assist them with their medical needs and direct them to hospitals and clinics as per their needs.
  • Handle all systems and records of the Clinic process and maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all patients, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
