Principal Mechanical Engineer – Rotating Equipment
Responsibilities: • Supervise and lead a team of engineers and designers in carrying out detailed engineering work for large-sized projects or proposals, assuming entire responsibility for the detailed design. • Provide necessary technical information and support for procurement of all Rotating Equipment and related packages in compliance with tender specifications/data sheets. • Adhere to cost/budgeted man-hour and project schedules. Determine methods and solutions for complex engineering problems and select the most efficient and economical manner in meeting the objectives. • Apply advanced engineering techniques and analyses within the discipline to serve as a technical specialist when required. • Possess in-depth technical knowledge of at least three of the following Rotating Equipment/Packages: Centrifugal pumps, Centrifugal Compressors, Reciprocating Compressors, Screw Compressors, Gas Turbines, Utility Packages (Instrument Air, Nitrogen generation, Steam Generators), Water Treatment Packages, Refrigeration Packages. Preferred Education/Experience: • Minimum requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. • Minimum of 18 years of detail design engineering related experience, preferably from a background in working for consultancy organizations or EPC for the petrochemical or Oil and Gas Industry. Possess good knowledge of relevant API codes and standards. • Ability to grasp other international standards as demanded by work.
