Job PurposeSupervise the optimization and formulation drilling and completion fluids as per the prescribed well program for each well. Contribute to improvements in overall well quality and cost optimization. Plan fluid requirements, build and maintain the relevant inventories and publish the associated report.Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)Sample and analyze drilling mud at regular intervals as well as whenever required in order to ensure smooth and efficient drilling operations.Calculate and report the daily low gravity solids percentages. Test Oil Based Mud (OBM) upon receiving and sending to mud plant.Plan mud and chemical requirements based on drilling operational requirements.Ensure the mud testing equipment are available on location, well maintained and calibrated.Report the daily and cumulative mud utilization and cost, estimation of mud lost, and addition of fluids;Recommend on the proper use of solids control equipment.Maintain an inventory of material and equipment related to own area of operation. Advises and supervises rig-crew during transfers.Submit end of the section / well recap, including "Incident Report" whenever applicable, with observations and recommendations.Participate in the product selection of chemicals and fluids to ensure fitness-for-purpose.Ensure the quality and quantity of fluids delivered to drilling and work over sites as per set guidelines.Ensure the appropriateness of recycling, treatment and disposal of drilling fluids byproducts and wastes as per ADNOC waste management guidelines.Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 2)Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 3)Generic AccountabilitiesSupervisionPlan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.BudgetsProvide input for preparation of the Department / Section budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.Policies, Systems, Processes & ProceduresImplement approved Department / Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support of the Section's work programs in line with Company and International standards.Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.Performance ManagementContribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Department / Section in line with the Company Performance framework.Innovation and Continuous ImprovementDesign and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and SustainabilityComply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.ReportsProvide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.Generic Accountabilities (continue)Internal Communications & Working RelationshipsContact with line Manager/ peers and other employees within the company/Group as requiredExternal Communications & Working RelationshipsContact with external parties including consultants, third party service providers, and government agencies as requiredMinimum QualificationDiploma in EngineeringMinimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills5 years of experience, including at leastRevenues/ Budget: As per approved financial budgetDirect Reports: As per organization chartIndirect Reports: As per organization chartProfessional CertificationsAs applicableWork Condition, Physical effort & Work EnvironmentPhysical EffortMinimalWork EnvironmentA/C environment, could be exposed to the prevailing weather conditions like heat, humidity & dust during occasional site visits.Additional DetailsPrepared / Revision: Operations/ Drilling Operations
