The data we generate provides our clients with the information they need to make critical, well-informed, business decisions.UTEC is currently seeking to hire a QHSE Advisor on a full-time, permanent basis in Abu Dhabi, UAE.The QHSE Advisor is responsible for monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of the Integrated Management System and ensuring compliance with both regulatory and client requirements.The successful candidate will provide operational QHSE support to the project and operation team to ensure all service delivery meets or exceeds quality assurance standards, as well as client specifications. Another key role is to maintain and continually improve the health and safety culture in the region and ensure that everyone involved is aware of their responsibilities.Duties/ResponsibilitiesSupport the Business Unit Director in the safe delivery of projectsIdentification and management of Business Unit QHSE legal, statutory and other regulatory compliance obligationsSupport the QHSE Team Lead with the development, maintenance, review, and continual improvement of Company QHSE documentation and the Integrated Management System (IMS)Support Acteon and UTEC Global QHSE programs and initiatives by providing advice and guidance to the Operational and Business Unit Management teamsDevelop and manage business unit QHSE programs, initiatives, and improvementsConduct incident investigations, root cause analysis and present recommendations for corrective and preventative actionsFacilitate risk assessments/JSAs and make recommendations for mitigating actionsConduct site safety inspectionsManage and lead auditing and compliance requirements both internal and externalProject HSE management of large and complex projects including preparation of project QHSE documentationLead/participate in project HAZIDConduct QHSE related orientation and induction for all new employeesMonitor compliance with inspection and test processes and all documentation as defined within the field quality control planProvide written reports, production related results, and updates to the QHSE Team LeadSupport the Commercial Department in the preparation of QHSE pre-qualifications, bid information, and reportsGenerate and communicate QHSE related safety bulletinsLiaise with Clients, Suppliers, and Regulatory bodiesCreate and deliver QHSE related presentationsMonitor and report on Business Unit QHSE performanceFacilitate health and safety meetingsCollate safety statistics and identify trends in incidents and safety observationsPresent improvement recommendations to address identified trends in safety performanceParticipate/attend industry related conferences or seminars as and when requestedRequirementsNEBOSH General CertificateTechnical Membership of IOSH (TechIOSH) preferredLead Auditor qualification in ISO 9001/14001/45001 preferred3-5 years' experience in a similar roleExperience with conducting presentations and group training courses is preferredKnowledge of subsea equipment and installation preferred
