Atkins has been established in the Gulf for over 40 years, having first carried out design and supervision commissions in the Gulf area in 1967. The regional head office (Dubai) was established in 1979.We provide a full range of design, engineering and project management services for buildings, transportation and other infrastructure programmes.Atkins in the Middle East now employs around 2,000 staff serving Gulf clients across all market sectors from offices in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Kuwait City, Manama, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah. The Emerging Markets Business focuses on markets outside the Gulf region in areas where Atkins are not yet established including North Africa, Middle East and Eurasia.Due to continued growth our Emerging Markets Business are looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager to be based in Dubai to work on a number of projects in the Middle East, North Africa and Eurasia. Â· Must be Degree qualified Architect or EngineerÂ· Minimum of 10 years experience in consultancy/construction firmÂ· Demonstrate a high standard of written and verbal communication skills - EnglishÂ· Forming and managing relationships with clients, networking and promoting the CompanyÂ· Very good understanding of Operating Unit technologies including:Â· Project and resource PlanningÂ· Customer CareÂ· Change controlÂ· Project Manager classificationsÂ· Environmental ManagementÂ· H&S proceduresÂ· Risk ManagementÂ· Successful in identifying and following through on leads associated with new and existing clientsÂ· Able to manage the drafting of successful offers with a sound appreciation of the range of contractual issues.Â· Able to realistically estimate pricing associated with projects bids across a range of expertiseÂ· Clear knowledge of work procedures, and ability to brief project team on themÂ· An effective team member able to apply knowledge gained across a broad range of disciplinesÂ· Understand multi-disciplinary process and competently represent their disciplineÂ· Flexible interpersonal skills demonstrate both internally and externallyManagerial (Project and/or People) RoleÂ· Display strong team management skills.Â· Understanding of People Management issues and can conduct staff development and appraisals and can demonstrate a prior track recordÂ· Fully conversant with the commercial aspects of project managementÂ· Proven project management skills having had responsibility for completion of projects to time and costÂ· Good knowledge of, and use of, Atkins capabilities outside of business unitsÂ· Good leadership qualities and gains respect from colleaguesFunctional RelationshipsÂ· ClientsÂ· Project DirectorsÂ· Project ManagersÂ· Delivery Team - Architects / Engineers / Sub- consultan About The Company Atkins is one of the leading providers of professional, technology based consultancy and support services to the industry, commerce and governments in all of the world's major economies.
