Contract: Less than 6 months
Location: Genting Pahang
Job description
- To lead the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) within the Project Organization
- Continuously improve the level of occupational safety and health
- Create an effective and systematic safety management system at the workplace
- Ensuring Compliance with all regulatory requirements for all sites in Malaysia
- Advise the employer, EHS Committee Chairperson or any person in charge of the workplace on measures to be taken in the interest of safety
- Investigate any accident, near miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational disease
- Assist the EHS Committee in any inspection of the place of work
- Collect, analyse and maintain any statistics on occurrence of accidents / disease
- Submission of SHO monthly report as per requirement of the OSHA regulations
- Participates in the review of site facility layouts, designs, modifications in regard to life safety requirements, applicable codes, regulations, and equipment/tool EHS requirements
- Develops, plans and implements site environmental, health and safety procedures/programs and ensures alignment with Company's EHS Policies, goals, objectives and customer requirement
- Ensures appropriate corrective action is taken where environmental, health and safety hazards exist
- Submit accurate regulatory and performance metric reports as required
- Any other responsibilities assigned by Management
; JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Green book holder registered to Malaysia Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) as Safety and Health Officer (SHO).
- Minimum 3 year working experience in similar field
- Required language (s): English, Bahasa Malaysia
- Good communication and analytical skills.
- Proactive self-starter with an analytical mind and problem-solving skills.
- Able to liaise with all levels of peoples.
- Able to work under pressure and meet the tight deadlines
