Key Functions
- Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities.
- Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage the sales cycle to close new business in all service categories offered.
- Coordinate with other sales reps to ensure company quotas and standards are being met, performing market research and regular competitor monitoring.
- Ensure payment is received as agreed.
- Advise customers of delivery schedules and after-sales service.
- Communicate with the booking and shipping offices about daily orders.
- Be aware of competitors’ strategies, strengths, and weaknesses.
- Meet sales targets.
- Communicate with dispatchers for daily orders.
- Liaise with other departments within the division.
- Deal with customer complaints or issues.
