Job Title: Cybersecurity Specialist

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying alternative cybersecurity strategies to address organizational security objectives, ensuring that cybersecurity architecture design is aligned with the organization's cybersecurity strategy, and developing cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Cybersecurity Strategy Development: Identify and implement effective cybersecurity strategies to address organizational security objectives.
Architecture Alignment: Ensure that cybersecurity architecture design is aligned with the organization's cybersecurity strategy.
Policies and Procedures: Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and processes aligned with organizational frameworks.
Project Support: Support the cybersecurity teams in the planning and development of an appropriate Cyber Security operational plan and other projects.
Collaboration: Participate in cross-functional project teams to design, implement, and test cybersecurity standards, regulatory requirements, technologies, processes/procedures, and specifications.
Evaluation: Evaluate development of new systems and processes to ensure that appropriate security controls are implemented.
Network Analysis: Conduct moderately complex network architecture and cyber security analysis, product configuration, integration testing, and troubleshooting.
Cybersecurity Inspections: Ensure that cybersecurity inspections, tests, and reviews are coordinated for the network environment.
Action Evaluation: Ensure that cybersecurity improvement actions are evaluated, implemented, and reviewed as required.
Technology Implications: Identify the implications of new technologies and upgrades on cybersecurity across the organization.
Technology Review: Review and, if appropriate, approve cybersecurity capabilities of proposed new technologies prior to organizational adoption.
Documentation: Ensure that all documentation relating to network security is developed, issued, and maintained.
Procurement: Ensure that cybersecurity requirements are included as appropriate in any procurement action.
Incident Reporting: Identify potential security incidents and report as necessary.
Data Collection: Ensure that appropriate data is collected and maintained to meet defined cybersecurity reporting requirements.
Resource Allocation: Ensure that appropriate resources are allocated to meet the organization's cybersecurity requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field from an accredited university (Essential).
Experience: Minimum of Five (5) years' experience working in Cybersecurity (Essential).
Desirable Qualifications: Master's Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field from an accredited university with a minimum of Three (3) years' experience working in Cybersecurity. Professional certifications such as CySA, CCNA, CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, CCFE, and CREA (Desirable).
