We are always striving to be better. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities: Organising and planning drivers and vehicle routes. Creating and completing daily schedules in full with costs focused mindset. Completing driver's rosters and agreeing same. Recording drivers hours to comply with legislation. Ensuring that vehicle maintenance is carried out as scheduled and in line with company guidelines (keeping to statutory requirements). Ensuring that current standards of health and safety are met and exceeded. Undertake incident control and investigation as required in line with company procedures. Dealing with all relevant customers' requirements. Ensuring that all drivers, trucks and trailers are well presented and that drivers' skills in relation to performance and customer care reflect the correct image of the company. Identifying and implementing increased efficiencies in order to maximise our service offering. To work in partnership with customers (both internal and external) to ensure optional service levels at all times. To act as the interface between the transport function and other functions as necessary to ensure a seamless provision of service.
- Ongoing review of the transport function in order to devises and implement optimal transport solutions
- Weekly budget targets CPC
- DOT (delivered on time) target or 97% or better
- 100% compliant in all aspects of transport
- Team work, good communications and clear handovers
- Maintenance compliance adherence
