Advisory and Business Intelligence Senior Manager

Job Title: Advisory and Business Intelligence Senior Manager Reports To: Head of advisory and business intelligence (HoA) Job Type: Full-time On-site Introduction: Del-Ponte is a Career Advisory and Consulting Referral Boutique Firm operating across the GCC and the Middle East. Our Client is a reputable bank in Saudi Arabia looking to recruit an Advisory and Business Intelligence Senior Manager . Job Summary: The Advisory and business intelligence senior manager will support the HoA and Chief Decision Support Officer (CDSO) in overseeing the execution of the bank's strategic initiatives, managing the Decision Support Office (DSO) special projects, delivering strategic business intelligence reports that align with the CEO / DCEO priorities, and fostering communication across various departments. The advisory and business intelligence senior manager will play a critical role in driving key projects, aligning organizational efforts with strategic goals, and enhancing the overall performance of the function. Key Responsibilities: Advisory and Business Intelligence:
  • Review and analyze business cases, data, and key presentations as received by different departments and stakeholders to make sure that it is comprehensive, up to date, and take into consideration previous comments from management;
  • Analyze, synthesize, and submit to HoA and CDSO business intelligence reports, creating regular briefings or executive summaries for CEO / DCEO that include key insights, trends, and analysis with clear recommendations;
  • Contribute to the development of a comprehensive calendar of internal and external strategic events for the CEO/DCEO, and coordinate with stakeholders to prepare and review relevant materials for these events when necessary;
  • Continuously consolidate and assess research publications from external sources, including regulatory bodies, competitors, and market leaders, ensuring that critical and relevant information is made available to the HoA, CDSO, and CEO/DCEO in a timely manner;
  • Gather, organize, and present publications and circulars from global and regional forums, peer institutions, and regulatory agencies, focusing on content that aligns with CEO/DCEO's interests and the bank's objectives;
  • Develop or leverage existing relationships with subject matter experts (SMEs), consulting firms, and industry leaders to obtain detailed insights, expert opinions, and analytical reports that are crucial for informed decision-making by CEO/DCEO;
  • Conduct in-depth desktop research at the direction of HoA, ensuring the analysis is thorough, relevant, and provides accurate and actionable insights;
  • Maintain an up-to-date repository of research papers, publications, and reports from both internal and external sources, ensuring that the HoA, CDSO, and other stakeholders have easy access to current and relevant information;
  • Co-ordinate the operational aspects of the department, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Assist in resolving operational issues, and developing process improvements where necessary;
  • Ensure all documentation is thoroughly reviewed and up-to-date.
Communication and Coordination:
  • Assist in the overall governance for HoA and CDSO by planning meetings, reviewing/creating meeting packs, taking accurate and clear minutes, and ensuring the actions are circulated in a timely manner and appropriate follow-up takes place;
  • Facilitate communication between the HoA, CDSO, and other departments, ensuring information flow and alignment;
  • Draft correspondence, reports, and presentations on behalf of the HoA;
  • Represent the HoA in meetings and act as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
Performance Monitoring:
  • Assist in managing strategic performance dashboards; liaising with other departments and ensuring that supporting materials are reviewed and aligned with overall Bank's strategic direction;
  • Analyze data and prepare reports to provide insights into the bank's performance;
  • Recommend corrective actions based on performance analysis.
Leadership and Team Management:
  • Exhibit leadership qualities that align with the company's culture, including innovative thinking and strategic foresight;
  • Manage, lead, and mentor junior staff within the DSO;
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team;
  • Ensure team members training and development to enhance their technical and analytical skills, supporting their efforts to achieve necessary certifications.
Financial and Market Analysis:
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of banking finance, with a focus on affluent and private banking sectors.
  • Lead the design and continuous enhancement of the CEO/DCEO dashboard, integrating key financial operational, and market intelligence metrics aligned with strategic priorities. Ensure comprehensive reporting by collaborating with MIS and other stakeholders, while incorporating real-time updates and automated alerts for critical KPIs;
  • Analyze market trends and share findings with HoA in order to incorporate findings into CEO / DCEO dashboards.
  • Assist in Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with relevant departments;
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Special Projects:
  • Undertake special projects and assignments as directed by the HoA and CDSO.
  • Ensure proper project management and stakeholder alignment and communications in the assigned special projects by HoA or CDSO;
  • Other ad-hoc requests arising from business needs, including conducting research as needed and creating recommendations for action.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business analytics, data science, economics, finance, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in banking or related industries;
  • Experience in report creation and document development;
  • Experience in data analysis and research;
  • Knowledge of market research and competitor analysis.
