Job Description We are currently seeking to employ experienced Teachers of English for Jumeirah College, Dubai. This appointment is for September 2025 start. The school Jumeirah College is a GEMS Premium Secondary School which delivers the National Curriculum for England, offering the full range of GCSE and A level courses. Our student body is a dynamic international community of over 1,100 students from over 62 nationalities. We take pride in the development of the whole child, recognising the importance of developing cultural and global awareness. We have a thriving enriched curriculum which provides a diverse range of activities, initiatives and charitable endeavours that both engage our student body and embed our philosophy of global awareness and world citizenship. Although non-selective at admission, our students achieve exceptional exam results which compare to top UK schools. In 2024 over 98% of GCSE results were 9-4 out of which 27% were 9, and at A level over 47% of all grades were A*/A with over 81% A*/B. This success enables our students to move on to the very top universities around the world, including Cambridge, UCL, Stanford, Monash and Toronto. The success of the school has been repeatedly recognised with Jumeirah College being nominated for a series of awards, including being shortlisted as International School of the Year by the TES. The Post: Teacher of English We are looking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of English to join the College. English is the most popular subject at A Level in our College; with 18 groups across the entire A Level cohort, this is a fantastic opportunity to teach English to an advanced level. Behaviour in the College is outstanding and the positive relationships between student and teacher, alongside the highly motivated students means that teachers can focus on teaching their subject. The successful candidate will work in an exceptional department. In 2024 the results were outstanding. In GCSE English Language/Literature over 98% of students achieved grades 9-4. At A Level English Language 67% achieved A* - B out of which 11% were A*/A. English Literature 85% achieved A* - B out of which 38% were A*/A. Skills The successful applicant will be required to have the following:

A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge.
At least 2 years experience of the National Curriculum for England.
Experience of teaching English Language and Media Studies up to A Level is a preference.
