Update your details, view your application and progress. The Spark Consortium has been selected for the Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria's biggest road project. The Spark Consortium’s Design and Construction Contractor - which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project. The Central Package will be delivered as a Public-Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads. About the Opportunity To support the delivery of the North East Link Central Package, we are seeking applications for a dynamic and motivated Senior HR Advisor to join the people team for a 12-month maternity leave cover. As a key member of the People team, this role will work across all areas of the project and provide advice and guidance to project leaders and deliver operational HR support. This is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced and high performing people team. We are looking for candidates that are passionate about what they do and would like to leave a legacy on this landmark project. This role will be accountable for: Partnering with and supporting leaders in improving business performance through people. Working with the HR Manager to implement HR initiatives to support the delivery of the Strategic and Annual project plans. Simplifying tools and processes and contributing to continuous improvement for HR across the business unit. Supporting managers to measure performance and providing appropriate guidance to manage underperformance and misconduct. Identifying resource and skill gaps and developing and implementing strategies to bridge gaps. Development of performance and rewards initiatives across the project, including promotions, remuneration changes, and allowances. Establishing and facilitating Annual TFR & Bonus Review process across the business unit. Driving the implementation of project and JV partner HR initiatives. Supporting the project through innovation and the implementation of organisational change as it impacts employees. Providing guidance and advice on legislative changes and interpretation of business standards. Driving the completion of Performance and Development reviews. About you: 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in a Senior HR / Business Partnering role. Tertiary qualifications in HR. Experience within an engineering, construction or heavy industries is highly regarded. Demonstrated experience initiating and driving leading-edge HR initiatives and supporting client groups through periods of organisational change. Strong relationship management and communication skills, including the ability to influence key stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to interpret employment contracts, awards and enterprise agreements and knowledge of relevant legislation. Strong service orientation and attention to detail. Negotiation and problem-solving skills. Intermediate to Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience in managing employee grievances and workplace investigations. Ability to work autonomously, self-manage, manage deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
