Structural Inspector - Civil Infrastructure RTA Dubai

AECOM is seeking an experienced Structural Inspector for a major Roads and Bridges project located in Dubai. The role involves both inspection and the supervision of Roads and Bridges works of the project to ensure that the activities are being executed in accordance with the project specification. Job Duties

1. Be familiar with the projects contract documents detailed drawings specifications and health and safety measures together with any associated updates.
2. Ensure the contractor/s compliance with the standards and specifications of the contract documents.
3. Maintain records of the contractor human and equipment daily resources.
4. Undertake all site supervision and inspections when required or instructed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or the Structural Engineer (SE).
5. Liaise and daily follow up with the contractor to ensure the contractor is managing its resources, health and safety, and equipment needs on the site.
6. Prepare daily report to the RE or SE, including works orders materials delivery and daily inspections program.
7. Follow up and implement any site instructions made by the RE and SE.
8. Apply and implement all quality controls and quality procedures of the site.
9. Prepare any site measurements and surveying checks needed by the RE or SE for Bridge work & other associated structures.
10. Coordinate and cooperate with client project manager during their site inspections in the presence of the RE or SE.
11. Monitor contractor QA/QC activities and maintain relevant records.
12. Assist the SE and RE in the preparation of any correspondences in compliance with the contract documents and site requirements.
13. Where site problems are found, work with the RE or SE to resolve them promptly.
14. Monitor the startup commissioning and handover of the site works, including maintaining records of the project milestones.
15. Maintain records of materials tests performed and executed works.
16. Audit inspections for conformity to contract documents and contractor submitted plans.

• Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• RTA Approval is preferred

• Minimum 7 years of experience within similar projects with minimum 3 years in UAE.
• UAE experience is preferred
• Relevant experience in comparable structural & roads projects
