GEMS DUBAI AMERICAN ACADEMY Dubai, UAE Posted 2 months ago Unlimited We are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic IB/Common Core English Teachers to join our dedicated team from August 2025 . This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is passionate about social studies education and is eager to contribute to the academic success of our students. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and interactive English lessons to high school students, following the school's curriculum and educational standards.
- Develop and implement creative and effective teaching strategies to inspire a love for English and foster critical thinking skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Ensure continuity in the delivery of curriculum content.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress.
Skills
Successful candidates will need:- A Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree plus a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, PGDE or equivalent specialism in English.
- Proven experience teaching English at high school level, preferably within an American/IB curriculum school.
- Strong knowledge of inquiry-based learning and hands-on English education.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A strong desire to continually improve their practice and deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences for their students.
