Roles and Responsibilities

The Lead Technical Architect is responsible for reviewing, coordinating, and verifying all project design drawings across disciplines, concluding and clarifying any points of issue within the set review time. Additionally, the architect must ensure that all detailed drawings comply with the correct design standards and authority requirements. Technical engineers should have adequate knowledge to review, clarify, and advise on any technical inquiries (RFIs) received during the project lifecycle. Responsibilities:

Experience in Construction Projects’ Coordination: Ability to review, coordinate, and verify all project design drawings across disciplines and clarify any points of issue within the review timeframe.
Experience in Construction Details: Ensure that all detailed drawings are completed correctly according to design standards and authority requirements, in full coordination with the design team.
Understanding and Distinguishing Construction Materials: Verify and compare what is in the drawings against project documents such as specifications and BoQ.
Adequate Knowledge for Technical Inquiries: Review, clarify, and advise on any technical inquiries received during the project lifecycle, from design stage to project handover.
Review Drawings in BIM Format: Identify and address any clashes between all design drawing disciplines.
Prepare and Advise on Technical Details: Support the design team with required technical details.
Stay Updated: Keep abreast of new developments in the construction world.
Team Leadership: Review designs and technical details while leading a small group of 12 reviewers.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Technical Leadership and Strategy

Architectural Design and Planning: Lead the architectural design and blueprinting of complex systems, ensuring alignment with current and future business needs.
Technology Roadmaps: Develop and maintain technology roadmaps outlining the direction for system architecture, software platforms, and technology stacks.
Solution Development: Oversee the design and implementation of technical solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and performance requirements are met.
Decision-Making: Make key technical decisions regarding technologies, frameworks, and methodologies for development and deployment.

2. System Design and Integration

System Architecture: Design the overall structure of complex systems, ensuring seamless interaction between components while meeting performance, security, and scalability requirements.
Integration Architecture: Oversee the integration of various systems, ensuring compatibility with existing platforms and technologies.
Proof of Concepts (PoCs): Develop PoCs to evaluate and demonstrate new technologies and solutions before full-scale implementation.

3. Stakeholder and Team Collaboration

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, product owners, and development teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, architects, and developers, providing guidance on best practices and career development.
Collaboration with Other Architects: Work with other architects to ensure cohesive architecture aligned with the organization’s IT strategy.
Stakeholder Communication: Present complex technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring understanding of the impact and benefits of technical decisions.

4. Technology Evaluation and Adoption

Technology Scouting: Stay updated with emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks, evaluating their potential for organizational needs.
Vendor Selection: Evaluate third-party vendors and service providers, selecting the most appropriate solutions based on business requirements and technical capabilities.
Innovation: Champion innovation within the organization, encouraging exploration of new technologies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
