We are looking for a highly creative and strategic Copy Head to lead and oversee all communication, ideation, and content creation efforts for our e-commerce company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing communication strategies, crafting impactful copy, and ensuring that all written outputs align with brand objectives and resonate with our audience. This role involves managing a team of 4–7 talented writers, including copywriters, content writers, and editorial writers, to deliver exceptional creative outputs across multiple brands under their creative pod.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the ideation, development, and execution of all creative communication strategies for the company.
  2. Drive innovation and storytelling across all formats, including advertising creative communication, brand film scripts, AV scripting, editorial writing, and content writing.
  3. Collaborate with brand managers, marketing teams, and design leads to align communication goals with overall business objectives.
  4. Team Management:

  5. Oversee and mentor a team of 4–7 writers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  6. Assign and prioritize tasks, balancing workloads to ensure the timely delivery of all copy and content requirements.
  7. Provide constructive feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and support the professional growth of team members.
  8. Copy & Content Creation:

  9. Develop compelling and creative copy for diverse touch points, including ads, social media, websites, email campaigns, and packaging.
  10. Craft engaging scripts for brand films, product videos, and other audiovisual content.
  11. Ensure all written materials align with brand tone, voice, and messaging guidelines while meeting the needs of diverse audiences.
  12. Quality Assurance:

  13. Review and approve all written outputs to maintain high standards of quality, creativity, and accuracy.
  14. Ensure consistency in brand voice and messaging across all communication channels and platforms.
  15. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment in design and communication elements.
  16. Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and techniques to enhance creative processes and outputs.
  17. Explore innovative storytelling methods to elevate brand communication and engage audiences more effectively.

Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field.
  2. Experience: 10+ years of experience in copywriting, content creation, or creative direction, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing a team.
  3. E-commerce Expertise: Strong understanding of communication needs for e-commerce platforms, including ad campaigns, brand storytelling, and customer engagement.
  4. Creative Excellence: Proven ability to craft compelling narratives across multiple formats and platforms, with a keen eye for detail and storytelling.
  5. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop talent within a creative team.
  6. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and concepts to stakeholders effectively.
  7. Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining creativity and quality.
