Responsibilities:

  • Contribute towards the preparation of modern trade budget and monitor financial performance against the budget
  • Lead modern trade channel development activities in line with trade marketing, category, and customer-specific plan
  • Determine and manage key retail accounts through detailed planning and execution, to accomplish and advance sales targets
  • Present, sign, and implement the agreements by customer by outlet as per Americana Foods guidelines to achieve a superior in-store presence
  • Define detailed plans and targets for existing and new customers and identify strategies for achieving the same
  • Provide recommendations for policies related to the development of BDAs in line with all relevant procedural/legislative requirements.
Customer Management:
  • Identify target customers by developing clear selection criteria for key account customers
  • Maintain account profile for each customer to optimize channel output in terms of sales, logistics, and service level
  • Establish a relationship with Customers and provide the highest standards of customer service
  • Engage with customers to identify requirements and resolve any queries or complaints
  • Identify opportunities for customer business development in new territories or categories and coordinate with customers to build growth plans
  • Negotiate long-term agreements by developing abiding contracts with key accounts to secure visibility and volume growth targets per account
  • Provide support in product design and specifications, marketing, and logistics depending on customer needs
  • Coordinate with Modern Trade account teams and customer marketing teams on plans and inputs to maximize sales from the channel
  • Implement annual activity calendar by developing tailored programs for individual accounts that are in line with brand strategy to influence consumer purchase decisions and foster brand image
  • Monitor reports received from stores through the Merchandiser
  • Review account profitability based on product mix across categories
  • Work with the Trade Marketing team to drive the implementation of BDA and maximize returns from the customers in line with the agreement
  • Review account performance and engage with customers for reviews and action planning
  • As a part of S&OP, provide inputs on channel forecast, promotion opportunities, etc., and actively participate in the demand planning process
People:
  • Allocate work to team members and provide guidance
  • Nominate for training as per guidelines to ensure that team members receive all necessary training and development to enable them to carry out their responsibilities to the required standards
  • Review team member performance in line with goals and expected behaviors
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: Academic and professional qualifications:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Administration from a reputed University; specialization in Marketing and Sales Management would be preferred
Experience:
  • 10 years of experience preferably in the consumer products / packaged goods sector
  • Experience in E-commerce channel is strongly preferred
