Job Description of Senior Test Engineer in Perth: We are looking for a self-directed and motivated Senior Test Engineer to be part of an agile multi-disciplinary development team working on industry-leading mine automation solutions. The work is technical in nature, and you will be exposed to both hardware and software systems. As part of this role, you will be responsible for, but not limited to: Accountable for the testing and acceptance of technical and functional requirements of autonomy projects before they are delivered to the end stakeholder. Create and maintain testing artefacts such as test cases, test scripts, test reports, and test plans. Work closely with product teams, customers, and key stakeholders to ensure the test scope meets the technology requirements. Identify and diagnose functionality errors and faults in systems, and programming code within established testing protocols, guidelines, and quality standards to ensure systems perform to specification. KEY RELATIONSHIPS / INTERACTIONS Internal: Project Managers Project Engineers Engineering Leads Product Managers Site Stakeholders Asset Management Operational teams Maintenance teams Training teams External: OEMs and development partners Contracting partners KEY ACTIONS OF THE ROLE Testing and Validation of Functional and Technical Requirements Work with the Engineering team to test, validate, and accept the deliverables, ensuring that the technical and functional requirements are met to the required standard. Deviations from the requirements are understood, recorded, and actioned appropriately (working with the Project and Engineering teams to resolve). All validation work is completed with the agreed level of detail. Develop and execute manual/automation tests. Create manual test cases as per function requirements. Create automation test cases. Execute and record test cases. Able to create bugs if found and communicate to the engineering team. Provide Subject Matter Expertise to Stakeholders. Provide operational expertise to the design process, in conjunction with Product Manager and Engineering Leads. Work with the onsite and Perth training teams to build training packages for Autonomy projects. Support onsite teams to adopt new projects in the field. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES FOR THE ROLE Test mobile autonomy products against the agreed deliverables. Write test cases. Create automated tests. Document all test results.
