Operations Team Member - Mandarin Speaking - Albany

Description The role: This is a varied role working across the branch that will see you involved in serving customers on the trade counter and in the yard & Drive Thru area, as well as getting customer orders ready for dispatch. You will be working in a team of 15 operation staff under the guidance of an experienced and supportive leader.

• Ensure that our customers, who are made up of trades, businesses, and homeowners, are greeted with a cheerful smile and exceptional service.
• Process sales at our trade counter.
• Loading of goods onto customer vehicles.
• Assist customers with any returns or repairs.
• Pulling orders to get them ready for delivery.
• Assisting as directed to ensure an efficient warehouse is maintained.
• Cycle counting, stocking, and rotating products on shelves.

This is a permanent full-time role, offering 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with one rostered Saturday (8am-12pm) a month. About you: To shine in this role, you’ll need to be an organised and reliable team player who enjoys working in a close-knit team. You should have a customer-focused and outgoing attitude along with a good work ethic. The ideal candidate will need to be flexible as this role will see you working across a few departments in one day.

• Excellent communication skills and fluency in both Mandarin and English.
• Proven experience in customer service or warehouse experience, ideally in the trade industry.
• Manual handling and some heavy lifting required, so you’ll need to be physically fit and have solid health and safety values.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport to support our valued customers.
• A motivated, self-driven worker, with the skill to work proactively, independently, as well as in a team environment.
• Confidence with computers and learning new systems.
• A Full New Zealand driver’s licence is essential, and a forklift licence is an advantage.
