Digitisation Quality Officer at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Southern, Otago

  • Salary between $65,627 and $70,024 per annum depending on experience
  • Busy and varied service
  • Fixed-term, full-time (1 FTE, 40 hours per week) position available until June 2026
  • Hours of work - Monday to Friday, 8.am to 4.30pm

About the role As we evolve into a digital environment, we have a fixed-term, full-time (1 FTE) Digitisation Quality Officer position available until 30 June 2026, to ensure the quality of the information we are digitising meets standards set out by Archives New Zealand; while producing a digital document for our staff to access, and additionally ensuring quality information is able to be accessed timely by staff. This role contributes to the smooth running of the digitisation service by providing an efficient and timely digitisation support function that is responsive and flexible to the changing needs of the service/organisation. About you To be successful in this role you will have the following:
  • Excellent IT skills with an ability to learn new systems
  • Ability to use multiple applications
  • Proven ability to work with IT solutions to ensure data quality
  • Ability to operate and run a quality assurance program including quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Ability to troubleshoot IT Issues
  • High standard of interpersonal communication skills, including written and verbal
  • High level of accuracy, judgment and maintaining confidentiality
  • A diploma in Business Administration would be an advantage
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings

Salary range This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the expired PSA South Island Clerical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and the salary will be in accordance with the National Health Administration Workers pay scale, Band 3 between Step 1 $65,627 and Step 3 $70,024 and pa pro-rata dependent on relevant experience.
