LINE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Function And Responsibilities

1. Responsible for troubleshooting and testing of IFEC system on-board customer aircraft in accordance with approved documentation, applicable regulations, and local policy and procedures.
2. Ensure adequate qualification to perform tasks assigned in accordance with the applicable Thales procedures.
3. Document work accomplished in accordance with customer’s requirements, Thales, and the station specific procedures.
4. Use the appropriate GSE equipment for performing the assigned task.
5. Perform data and administrative entries using the applicable Maintenance Tracking and documentation systems.
6. Accountable for the use of the proper calibrated tools to perform the tasks.
7. Check the work after completion to ensure integrity and pay attention to details.
8. Ensure the cleanliness of facility, tools, vehicles, and equipment used.
9. Use safety net when performing tasks assigned.
10. Follow calibration rules when using calibrated tools.
11. Report unsafe acts and prevent unsafe behavior.
12. Assist other LMTs when required.
13. Comply with Thales Quality and Safety manuals.

Work Experience Requirements

1. Knowledge of electronics and troubleshooting generally acquired through commercial aviation or technical school education combined with related industry experience (Avionics/IFE) with an airline.

Qualification And Educational Requirements

1. Bachelor of Science in Aviation Electronics and/or Communication Engineering is preferred.
2. Holder of a valid Aircraft Mechanic ICAO license.
