Electronics Design Engineer

Electronic Design Engineer Location: Stockport, Cheshire Salary: £45-50k Job Type: Full-Time Purpose of the Role: This company is looking for a talented Electronic Design Engineer to design, develop, and maintain electronic hardware for new and existing product lines. You will play a key role in their product development strategy, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Technical Director and Design Team to achieve project milestones and targets.
• Develop electronic hardware requirement specifications for new and existing products based on project needs.
• Plan and coordinate electronic hardware activities with hardware integration and test teams.
• Design and produce high-quality electronic schematics, architectures, and functional hardware for new products.
• Create detailed supporting documentation for internal use and third-party certification processes.
• Maintain comprehensive electronic design records for all products.
• Test and validate electronic hardware as needed.
• Support production teams during the integration of new product developments into the production facility.
• Develop production test equipment and testing regimes as required.
• Communicate with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders to resolve electronic hardware-related product or production issues.
• Manage assigned projects or tasks, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.

• Proficiency in Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout, including generating Gerber data for production.
• Experience with STM32 Microcontrollers , including programming and Cube.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as GitHub .
• Strong background in EMC design .
• (Desirable) Knowledge of Intrinsically Safe Electronic Design and Certification .
• Competence in C programming (e.g., using IAR Workbench).
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite , including SharePoint and Office 365.
