A superb opportunity has arisen for a defined benefit pensions administrator with a good level of technical knowledge of defined benefit schemes. Atkin Trustees Limited who are based in prestigious offices on Blythe Valley Business Park, Solihull are seeking a new colleague as part of their continued growth. We are seeking an individual who wants to achieve their potential. An individual who has at least 4 year’s experience in administering defined benefit pension schemes both at the doing and checking , who wishes to become more involved helping client managers whilst still doing the administration work. The role is based in our Solihull office. What would the job entail? Atkin Trustees Limited is a family run pension consultancy providing services exclusively to small defined benefit pension schemes. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient enough to take over the role of checking/reviewing member calculations and other administration/governance work to enable the client managers to take more of a quality assurance role. The role specifically includes the following:
- Managing and taking responsibility for all administration related matters on a client
- Preparing and checking member calculations and communications to ensure that they are accurate, clear and in accordance with our procedures.
- Ensuring work undertaken by the administration and consultancy teams is done in accordance with Atkin procedures and processes.
- Support the development of all of the administration team to improve quality and efficiency
- Working with client managers to develop and implement the scheme’s annual business plan which includes
- ensuring all governance matters are dealt with in good time,
- Preparing governance reports and documentation
- Preparing agenda’s and meeting packs for trustee meetings
- Project management and technical support on key administration projects eg data cleansing exercises, GMP equalisation, onboarding of data for new admin clients.
- Quality control and ensuring recurring tasks are done on time
