They’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their North Vancouver, BC team. Location: North Vancouver, BC Reporting to: Principal, Geotechnical Engineering Division Employment Type: Full-time What You'll Do:
- Provide technical expertise to residential, mixed-use and/or infrastructure projects as Engineer of Record
- Provide leadership to the project team in the delivery of geotechnical engineering solutions
- Interface with clients on project requirements
- Develop opportunities for future projects
- Lead or Support in the preparation and creation of detailed geotechnical designs, report, construction packages and estimates
- Mentor Intermediate and Junior Geotechnical Engineers in their professional development
- Participate as a member of multi-disciplinary projects
- Support the development and implementation of organizational initiatives
- A Geotechnical Engineer with 15+ years of experience in infrastructure or transportation projects
- Someone who holds a University Degree in Geotechnical/Geological or Civil Engineering and registered as a P. Eng. with EGBC
- You possess a deep understanding of temporary excavation shorting design, slope stability assessments and retaining structures (Bonus points if you have experience in linear infrastructure!)
- You are familiar with software such as DeepEX 3D, ReSSA, GeoStudio (slope/w, seep/w)
- An excellent communicator, project coordinator and team player
