The Claims Care Team Lead , is responsible for all functions that support the Claims team. Accountabilities include oversight for claims advisors and adjusters, performing all support and technical aspects of claims adjusting. This job is responsible for overseeing the claims care team and making sure they are performing all aspects of their role. WHAT MOVES YOU

- Report to the Supervisor, Claims Care team.
- Manage day to day operations to meet customer service expectations and company objectives.
- Monitor phone system statistics and service levels, as necessary, as well as ensuring high-quality claim-handling, technical excellence and operational efficiencies.
- Foster claims handling practices that adhere to legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor subrogation activities and ensure recoveries are sought and posted in a timely manner.
- Determine severity following catastrophe events and establish case reserves, as necessary.
- Support and mentor the development and growth of team skill sets.
- You have post secondary education in a related field.
- You are actively pursuing or have acquired an Insurance professional designation such as the CIP, FCIP and/or CRM.
- You hold a minimum of 5 years Claims handling experience.
- You possess sound knowledge of regulatory requirements surrounding insurance legislation and compliance.
- You have knowledge of current trends, technology, and advancements in Insurance industry.
- You have the ability to work in a team environment, including with several other departments, and build and maintain relationships with vendors.
