Job Summary
The Junior Finance Officer will support the finance team in managing accounting records, financial transactions, and reporting activities. This role is ideal for fresh graduates with a degree in Accounting or Finance who have completed their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and are currently undergoing or have completed their ICAN certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Record and maintain financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles.
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.
- Assist in tax computations, filings, and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in financial audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Support cost analysis and financial forecasting to enhance decision-making.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure adherence to internal controls.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial alignment with business goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Must have completed the 1year compulsory National Youth Service Corps, NYSC with 0-1 year working experience.
- ICAN certification in progress or completed.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) is an added advantage
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
