Job Description

Oversee the nursing staff in the Adult ICU, ensuring that patient care is delivered effectively and according to hospital policies and best practices.
Provide clinical leadership and support to nurses and other healthcare professionals in the ICU.
Coordinate and assign tasks to nursing staff, ensuring proper staffing levels and efficient workflow during shifts.
Monitor and evaluate patient care, making sure that all ICU patients receive appropriate and timely interventions.
Lead the management of critical care situations, ensuring optimal use of medical equipment and interventions.
Ensure the proper documentation of patient information, including progress notes, medication administration, and vital sign tracking.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other specialists, to provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients.
Provide ongoing education and support to the ICU nursing team, ensuring adherence to best practices and current clinical guidelines.
Act as a liaison between the nursing team, physicians, and hospital administration, communicating patient care needs and operational issues.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and case reviews to improve patient outcomes and nursing practices.
Ensure compliance with infection control policies, safety standards, and hospital regulations.
Handle administrative tasks such as shift scheduling, staffing adjustments, and reporting operational concerns to upper management.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
Valid Nursing License (SCFHS Preferred) or equivalent Home Country License.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in an Adult ICU or similar critical care environment.
At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a healthcare setting.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
Strong clinical skills and experience with critical care equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
In-depth knowledge of critical care protocols, patient safety, and quality improvement practices.
Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
