Eaton has approximately 96,000 employees and sells products to customers in more than 175 countries. We are seeking an experienced Life Safety Business Development Engineer to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will lead the business development activities steering development of Life Safety Business within Middle East. What you’ll do:
- Pro-actively initiate and execute Life Safety business development actions within Middle East targeting commercial growth.
- Establish framework of cooperation with internal (Engineering, services, other Bus, sales, presales) and external (customers, consultants, partners) ecosystem.
- Drive the product & application engineering ecosystem by support, identifying training needs and transferring knowledge and best practices.
- Use technical engineering skillset and product specification knowledge, to customize products to fit the need of define target markets.
- Drive effective product launches and engineering campaigns.
- Using engineering skillset to customize and address the market Gap and product fit analysis.
- Showcase Eaton’s engineering capabilities to new accounts and segments.
- Support to engineer optimal technical proposals inline with market needs.
- Function as a Voice of the Customer channel for product management and engineering team when defining New products as part of NPD ProLaunch process.
- Manage and support the team in defining the optimal product portfolio for specific account and position the right value engineering concepts.
- Consolidate market input including local competitive landscape, pricing information as well general market trends and shares the input with the specified audience.
- Partners with Life Safety Product Managers, other business developers and Business Unit functions to ensure they stay in close contact with markets and customers.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Electronics Engineering. MBA is a plus.
- Experience in business development, product management or other relevant business role within the Middle East Life Safety or power distribution or Commercial Buildings and Infrastructure segments.
- Has good understating on requirements for Life Safety or electrical equipment.
- Ability to take initiatives and drive them autonomously, strongly customer-oriented.
- Ability to think and act strategically.
