Use the prescribed method, as indicated by laboratory superiors, according to ISTA Rules for the specific species

Daily temperature readings need to be made on all apparatus, store room and laboratory; problems need to be reported to the Laboratory Supervisor.

Ensure that the laboratory and all equipment belonging to the laboratory are at all times kept clean and in a good condition - report any malfunctions immediately.

Discarding of excess seed and sand on a daily basis as prescribed.

Thoroughly clean the relevant equipment before and after operating it.

General maintenance of the seed store and the discarding of samples, on a regular basis, as prescribed by laboratory superiors.

Ensure that the laboratory, seed store and store room are clean and tidy at all times.

Perform any reasonable task allocated by superiors to ensure the effective functioning of the seed testing laboratory.

REQUIREMENTS:

Grade 12 with Biology (essential)

Grade 12 with Biology and Maths (ideal)
