C4I Data Processing and Display (DPandD) Engineer DALMA 176DPandD Dalma Tech2, Saudi Arabia Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport in maintaining the data processing and display system equipment.Perform intermediate level maintenance and repair as needed.Test and evaluate all data processing and communications equipment for maintenance/repair facilities and operations training labs.Assist the sectors in resolving data processing and display hardware/software problems.Evaluate performance of the installed data processing and display hardware/software.Produce adequate engineering training material in his specialty.Actively advise and assist in all aspects of his specialty.Participate in modifications, upgrades, and enhancement proposals for the data processing and display system.Execute any other task assigned related to the installation, maintenance, or enhancement of the data processing and display system.Keep abreast of the latest Data Processing and Display technologies.Review Statements of Work (SOW) and other technical documents to ensure these documents address all RSAF Data Processing and Display requirements.Research and prepare technical documentation for presentation to staff personnel.Job SpecificationQualificationsShall have a minimum of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with a minor in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Alternatively, a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with a minor in Electrical/Electronics Engineering will be acceptable. Shall have a working knowledge of computer networks, communication protocols, and IT and communication technologies.ExperienceThe candidate shall have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in development, installation, testing, and/or maintenance of data processing and display equipment for a large scale Command and Control Security Systems.The experience shall include a minimum of five (5) years of experience with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or another Security C4I system related to either current homeland security systems or systems of a similar type and generation.The experience must include participation in modifications, upgrades, and enhancement proposals for the systems listed.Experience with DEC, VAX, or MicroVAX Computer series hardware, and VMS/Rdb and UNIX operating systems.Experience with large screen display assemblies and picture management systems for real-time Radar systems and CCTV systems.Experience with Alert and Warning Display Systems (AWDS) and drivers.Experience with Multi-Purpose Consoles.Experience with IBM Personal Computers (or compatibles), Macintosh computers, and associated peripherals.Local and Wide area network system design, installation, or maintenance experience is highly desired.Experience in training Engineering Officers or equivalent shall be considered a plus.
