Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces. Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
2. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
3. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
4. 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Job Description: Qualcomm is looking for software engineers to develop and optimize high- and low-level DSP framework/application. The software will run in a multi-threaded embedded environment comprised of CPU and DSP processors and hardware blocks. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in both conventional signal processing and neural network theory combined with experience in writing and optimizing embedded DSP software in C/C++. Responsibilities:

1. Develop, port, and optimize DSP frameworks/applications.
2. Exercise and improve DSP software development tools, drivers, and ecosystems developed by Qualcomm.
3. Offsite and occasional onsite work with OEMs and Independent Software Vendors may be required.

1. Embedded system architecture including platform architecture, software stack, security, and virtualization.
2. Proficiency in C, C++ programming languages.
3. DSP programming.
4. Neural networks/Deep Learning.
5. Computer architecture and operating systems.
6. SIMD optimization.
7. Developing, debugging, and optimizing for embedded real-time environments.
8. Good understanding of computer architecture and operating systems.
9. Familiarity with Qualcomm DSP programming.
10. Multimedia software development experience on Android, Windows, or Linux.
11. Hardware driver development experience.
12. Shell/Python scripting.
13. Experience with machine learning in mobile, drones, virtual reality, connected camera, or automotive space.
