What the role is: The Judiciary - comprising the Supreme Court, State Courts and Family Justice Courts - is one of the three constitutional pillars of government in Singapore. We welcome you to join our team as: ASSISTANT DIRECTOR / SENIOR ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, STRATEGIC PLANNING STRATEGIC PLANNING AND RESEARCH DIVISION FAMILY JUSTICE COURTS What you will be working on: Forecast political and socio-economic trends, their impact on the Family Justice Courts and develop possible solutions; Identify trends and best practices which can be adopted at the Family Justice Courts; Develop, evaluate, review, and refine key programmes as identified by senior management and work with Family Justice Courts divisions to strengthen the Court’s business processes and systems; Work with our strategic domestic partners to align our strategic plans and objectives for the family justice eco-system and to deliver holistic solutions cutting across agencies for our court users; Work with other divisions on key strategic projects; Organise senior leadership retreats to discuss/brainstorm new ideas and medium term initiatives; Staff senior management for meetings with key agencies and partners; Support the division in any other strategic and operational projects. What we are looking for: Possess sharp analytical skills with a bent for strategic and innovative thinking; A degree in law would be an advantage, although not a prerequisite; At least 3 years of relevant experience in either strategic planning, policy operations, policy development and formulation work would be preferred; Ability to develop and execute ideas and initiatives where there may be no precedent; Ability to turn ideas into solutions through coding and AI techniques would be an advantage; Self-motivated, meticulous, with a drive for excellence; Work well in a team; Excellent presentation skills and the ability to write well; Good interpersonal skills; Ability to work with tight deadlines. Note: The successful candidate will be appointed on a one-year probationary contract in the first instance. Only short-listed candidates will be notified.
