Report Enhancement and Optimization: Upgrading and improving over 50 existing reports by integrating advanced data visualization techniques, enabling sophisticated report customization capabilities, and enhancing analytical performance. These enhancements are driven by department-specific requirements and stakeholder feedback to provide intuitive, feature-rich, and actionable reporting tools. The objective is to align reporting functionalities with organizational needs for improved data analysis, decision-making, and user experience. Automated Data Integration: Implementing automated data integration workflows to connect reports seamlessly with data sources such as Marafiq (CAFM-Archibus) and Oracle Fusion. This automation eliminates manual data handling, reduces errors, increases data accuracy, and accelerates report generation. By establishing reliable and efficient data pipelines, the organization ensures timely and consistent reporting to support operational and strategic decisions. Development of Metadata and Usage Analytics: Designing and deploying new reports focused on auditing data warehouse metadata and tracking report access and consumption metrics. These reports enable the organization to monitor data usage patterns, ensure compliance with data governance policies, and evaluate the effectiveness of reporting solutions. Insights derived from these analytics will inform the optimization of reporting strategies and enhance the value of data assets. Non-Production Environment Setup and Maintenance: Establishing and maintaining dedicated non-production environments, including development and Quality Assurance (QA) platforms, to support system enhancements and updates. These environments enable rigorous testing of new features, updates, and fixes prior to deployment in the production environment, ensuring minimal disruptions and maintaining system reliability. This structured approach mitigates risks, ensures high-quality system performance, and sustains user trust. Enhancing ETL Processes: Implement updates to existing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) workflows and develop new ETL mechanisms to support expanded reporting capabilities and integration of additional data sources. These improvements will ensure accurate, efficient data transformation and processing, enabling the organization to handle larger data volumes, reduce processing times, and enhance data quality for robust reporting and analysis. Data Warehouse Schema Expansion: Update and expand the Data Warehouse (DWH) schema, including introducing new schemas that replicate the structure of Excel-based data inputs. This enhancement facilitates seamless integration of diverse data formats, ensuring the DWH can effectively accommodate a variety of data sources and structures. Tabular Model Development: Design and implement a tabular model for specific functional areas, aligned with the DWH schema. This structured data model optimizes analytical performance and enables faster data retrieval and manipulation, enhancing reporting efficiency. Cross-Platform Report Accessibility: Ensure that reports are accessible across both desktop and mobile platforms, providing users with real-time, on-the-go access to dashboards and insights to support informed decision-making. Data and Report Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous quality assurance testing on both system data inputs and the resulting reports to ensure accuracy, reliability, and data integrity. This step is critical to maintaining trust in the reporting system. Management Dashboards: Create consolidated dashboards for senior management, extracting key metrics from both existing and newly developed reports. These dashboards will deliver a clear and concise overview of trends and performance metrics, supporting strategic decision-making. Comprehensive Training Programs: Provide extensive training on system tools and technologies, with a focus on adapting to changes in source data formats. This training ensures that users can efficiently manage and navigate system modifications. Detailed Documentation: Develop in-depth documentation for managing changes to data sources and models, serving as a reference for ongoing system maintenance and ensuring adaptability to evolving organizational needs. Export and Scheduling Capabilities: Enable full report export functionality to formats such as PDF and Excel, preserving the original formatting and data visualizations. Additionally, implement scheduling options to distribute reports via email, either embedded within the email body or as attachments, ensuring timely delivery of insights. Record-Level Security: Implement record-level security in reports to customize data visibility based on user roles and access levels. This ensures sensitive information is protected while providing appropriate access to relevant data. SharePoint Integration: Integrate reports with SharePoint Online to facilitate seamless access, management, and collaboration across teams and departments within the organization's existing SharePoint infrastructure. Active Directory Integration: Incorporate Active Directory (AD) integration with support for mapping user access to AD Security Groups. This simplifies access management, ensuring users are granted appropriate permissions based on their organizational roles. Synapse and Data Operations: Connect SharePoint and Oracle databases to Azure Synapse Analytics and perform advanced data operations, including creating procedures, transforming data, and implementing Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD). This integration enhances data management and processing capabilities. Analysis Services Integration: Engage with Azure Analysis Services (AAS) for managing security and user access within models. Utilize Tabular Editor for live connections to AAS, develop DAX expressions, and apply advanced data modeling concepts such as facts, dimensions, and relationships. Power BI Service and PowerApps: Leverage the Power BI service for report publishing and PowerApps for application development. Establish a Power Platform environment to create and deploy apps that integrate with other Microsoft services, including Power Automate for workflow automation and Azure for custom functionality. Power BI Direct Data Integration: Automate data flows by connecting Power BI reports directly to data sources such as Marafiq (CAFM-Archibus) and ERP systems.
