Failure Analysis Technician

Job Description:

1. Assist FA engineers in conducting failure analysis and identifying root causes for RMA (Return Material Analysis) and internal production fallout units.
2. Ensure compliance with the agreed turnaround time (TAT).
3. Assist in implementing preventive actions to prevent the recurrence of quality issues.
4. Prepare and submit quality reports to superiors as required.
5. Participate in product evaluations to determine the most effective defect screening methods.
6. Take part in quarterly or as-needed product inventory counts.
7. Operate and maintain failure analysis equipment, ensuring that it is calibrated and in good working order. Troubleshoot equipment as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Optoelectronics, or Telecommunications).
• At least 5 years of experience in optical device testing/repair related industry and in a mass production environment.
• Familiar with basic knowledge and principles of optical devices.
• Good computer literacy, communication skills, and reporting of information/data.
• Familiar with circuit diagrams and a strong background in Electronics.
• Familiarity with test instruments (Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, etc.).
• Experience in troubleshooting PCBA preferred.
• Ability to work independently and with support teams as needed.
• Basic knowledge of optical circuits, circuit analysis, problem solving, and mastery of optical module test instruments.
• 8D knowledge is an advantage.
