- Design and develop imaging systems for medical imaging devices, including lenses, mirrors, filters, and other optical components to meet imaging requirements.
- Design light source subsystems involving a combination of LEDs, Lasers, electronics and software components to meet stated illumination requirements.
- Utilize software tools (e.g., Zemax, Code V) to model and simulate optical systems to study optical system design effects such as aberrations, scattering, accurate system performance predictions.
- Develop and implement testing protocols to characterize optical component and system prototypes, including evaluating image quality, resolution, and aberrations
- Perform optical system parametric optimization within mechanical & electronic constraints.
- Design & development of image processing software
- Implement all systems as per defined ISO processes
- Optics design in compliance to Regulatory requirements for its safety and performance
- Optics design in coordination with other systems design of the product. Experience:
- Working experience with development of optical & imaging subsystems using tools like Zemax, Code V
- Working Experience with Optical Image Test Tools like IMATEST
- Programming experience for image processing (python or image-j)
- Working knowledge of OpenCV based application or algorithm development
- Electro-mechanical development knowledge is desirable
