Within our EMEA/ APAC-wide Internship Program CareerStart@SAS, we’re offering a 6-month full-time internship in our Customer Advisory Department as a Risk Management intern in our Riyadh office.

About the Job:

We’re looking for a customer advisory intern to work as a technology and domain expert for the Risk Management domain to assist sales and customer advisory teams to prepare the relevant material that will be presented to customers to maximize revenue opportunities in SAS Solutions and to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction. The Customer Advisory Team is responsible for helping customers and prospects understand the value and capabilities of SAS’ products and solutions. Customer Advisors provide technical expertise, demonstrations, and tailored solutions to address specific customer needs. The team plays a crucial role in building trust and confidence, ultimately driving sales and customer acquisition. You will drive software sales through the risk domain and show business expertise across this domain. As an intern, you might be involved in:

• Data Analysis: Creating, cleaning, preparing, and analyzing data to provide insights that can help tailor solutions to client needs.
• Assisting with Presentation and Demonstrations: Participating in internal calls and assisting in the preparation and delivery of presentations and solution demonstrations for potential clients.
• Technical Support: Providing technical assistance during the sales process.
• Collaboration: Working closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams to ensure a cohesive approach to client engagements.
• Business Analysis and Literature Review: Making sure that presentations, demonstrations, and other customer material are relevant for customers and in line with recent industry developments such as regulations, trends, competitor offerings, etc.

Required Skills and Abilities

• You’re a college student enrolled in an accredited program.
• Target majors include Business, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Economics, Econometrics, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, or other quantitative fields related to the area of assignment.
• You possess a solid understanding of how the financial institutions industry operates and the concept of risk management.
• You've got some programming experience or data science skills like Python, R, or SAS.
• You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.
• Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
• You’re interested in the future of Analytics and embracing technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of Python, R, or SAS is preferred.

CareerStart program date and location: Tentatively April 1 – September 30 (Dates can change slightly due to academic calendars). Our role is based in SAS Riyadh offices in an onsite work setting.
