Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Logistics Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our supply chain department, you will be responsible for optimizing our logistics operations, managing inventory, and ensuring efficient transportation of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the movement of goods throughout the supply chain
- Analyze and optimize inventory levels to minimize costs while maintaining adequate stock
- Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers
- Implement and maintain transportation management systems to track shipments and monitor performance
- Develop and analyze logistics reports to identify areas for improvement and cost savings
- Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations and customs requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Troubleshoot and resolve logistics-related issues in a timely manner
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve logistics processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management
- Proficiency in supply chain management and inventory control techniques
- Strong knowledge of transportation management systems and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Dynamic Microsoft365)
- Experience with international shipping and customs procedures, particularly in Saudi Arabia
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
- Professional certifications such as APICS CSCP or CLTD are preferred
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabian customs and import/export procedures
- Knowledge of logistics regulations and industry best practices
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
