Transport and Main Roads (Organisation site)Rail Planning and Projects; Strategic Rail; Translink; Brisbane CBD An exciting opportunity exists for a high performing individual to join the Direct Sunshine Coast Rail Line project, within Transport and Main Roads (TMR) in the role of SO Director (Finance, Risk and Schedule). The Direct Sunshine Coast Rail Line project will revolutionise travel, providing a fast and reliable alternative to car trips between the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, and Brisbane regions. This mega-project will also help shape the region and unlock new housing and economic opportunities. The Australian and Queensland governments have committed significant investment towards delivery of Direct Sunshine Coast Rail Line with the project now in predelivery and major construction activities expected to commence in 2026. The Opportunity In the role of Director (Finance, Risk and Schedule) you will lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for performance reporting, financial and risk management and compliance for the Direct Sunshine Coast Rail Line project. The role has a strong focus on strategic management, internal and external relations and partnerships across all levels of government. As the Director (Finance, Risk and Schedule) you will lead effective project controls management, including scheduling, risk and finances for the Direct Sunshine Coast Rail Line project and providing high level strategic and operational advice to project senior executives to facilitate effective project outcomes. You will also be accountable for directing the project's performance reporting function including developing performance content for the project boards, steering committees, working groups and other project governance bodies in close consultation with the project teams. You will provide inclusive and inspiring leadership that motivates the team to work strategically, focus on customer needs and meet organisational and project objectives. You will model behaviours and attitudes aligned with TMR's values and contribute to a positive team culture, meeting of team and personal accountability expectations, and modelling the standards of professional behaviour.
