Ferguson’s Enterprise Data & Analytics team is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer - Product Data to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and efficiency of our data systems. In this role, you will play a key role in designing and implementing robust QA strategies across our data platforms, ensuring quality standards are met for systems such as Stibo STEP, Databricks, Cosmos DB, and Azure Pipelines. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and key business collaborators to deliver high-quality data solutions that support Ferguson’s strategic initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and complete detailed test strategies, plans, and cases to validate complex data integrations and functionalities across systems like Stibo STEP, Databricks, Cosmos DB, and Azure Pipelines.
• Perform sophisticated exploratory and functional testing to detect data quality issues and ensure consistency and accuracy across platforms.
• Partner with software engineers, data architects, and business collaborators to clarify requirements and implement robust testing frameworks.
• Be responsible for the defect management process, including logging, tracking, prioritizing, and validating defect resolutions.
• Conduct in-depth regression testing to ensure fixes and updates do not introduce new issues.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including testing procedures, results, and quality metrics for collaborator reporting.
• Lead process improvement initiatives, driving enhancements in QA methodologies and tools for data analytics and integration.
• Stay abreast of industry standards and emerging technologies in quality assurance, specifically for data environments.
• Mentor and guide junior QA team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and quality excellence.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience (3 to 6 years) in QA roles, preferably with a focus on data systems and platforms like Stibo STEP, Databricks, Cosmos DB, and Azure Pipelines.
• Expert-level understanding of QA processes, methodologies, and tools, with a solid focus on data environments.
• Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, paying close attention to detail and taking initiative to address issues.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, capable of effectively interacting with technical and non-technical partners.
• Experience with test automation and scripting for data systems is a plus.
• Ability to lead multiple complex projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and influence standard methodologies for quality assurance at an organizational level.
