Electrical Control Engineer

EC&I Engineer | Liverpool (UK wide travel) | Permanent | up to £50,000 Are you an experienced Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineer? PT Renewables is partnered with one of the largest UK-based sustainable gas companies - you'll be joining an expanding engineering team getting involved in interesting projects. The Role As an EC&I Technician, you will:

• Design, develop, install, and commission control systems and instrumentation.
• Install and service advanced systems, including safety, security, process control, and energy delivery.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs and related equipment.
• Design new control systems and draft technical documentation, such as Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
• Participate in HAZOP, LOPA & SIL assessments, and drive process safety initiatives.
• Tackle fault-finding challenges on-site, ensuring systems run smoothly and safely.

• Electrical installation knowledge, Siemens TIA Portal, SCADA/DCS, MODBUS, Profibus/Profinet, and instrument calibration.
• Time-served EC&I apprentice, Level 3 in Electrical Maintenance & Instrumentation, 18th Edition, Compex certification, and process safety knowledge.

• Starting salary up to £50,000
