Senior Actuarial Data Analyst Company: Munich Re Location: Singapore, Singapore We are seeking an experienced actuary (almost qualified, or recently qualified) to play a leading role in our regional Data Team, covering the Middle East, Africa and the Asia Pacific region. Based in Singapore and reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this role combines strategic and hands-on responsibilities. You will be working closely with the Business Lead and IT Team to support our regional data warehouse projects, playing an active role in requirements gathering and user acceptance testing. You will also be working closely with a team of junior actuarial data analysts to set up the company’s systems to process and consume bordereaux data provided by clients and provide extracts, reports and business insights to downstream users. Your Role: Assess data quality in the region and for the robust processing of data Provide actuarial and business input to the IT Team during requirement-gathering exercises Use actuarial and systems knowledge to assess proposed IT solutions Plan, support and actively manage the User Acceptance Testing of system changes Set up the regional systems to consume the data provided by selected cedents Support other members of the Data Team in expanding their actuarial and insurance knowledge Liaise with local offices throughout the region, as and when necessary Support the change management function in relation to data systems and processes Work with other members of the Data Team to analyse available data and to develop dashboards and reports, communicating relevant insights to senior management Your Profile: Nearly-qualified / recently-qualified actuary with 5 to 10 years of experience in life reinsurance Thorough understanding of life insurance principles and products in the region Proven knowledge and hands-on experience in managing and contributing to IT projects Possess technical computing skills such as SQL and Data Services Good analytical abilities and proficient in resolving challenges Fluent in English (both verbal and written business level) Familiarity with Munich Re’s processes and systems would be a distinct advantage Our Benefits: Flexible and Hybrid working arrangements Generous annual leave allowance Competitive dental, life and health insurance coverage At Munich Re, we embrace and value the interaction of diverse backgrounds, experiences, perspectives and thought.
